Buccaneers | Bidwell shut down indefinitely

Updating a previous item, Ira Kaufman, of The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers P Josh Bidwell (hip) is sidelined indefinitely with a hip injury. The pain in his right hip became so severe Wednesday, Aug. 12, that he told team officials that he was unable to punt. The Buccaneers have shut down Bidwell and ordered additional testing to determine whether he is healthy enough to play in 2009. General manager Mark Dominik said, "We're looking for more information and it's too early for us to say exactly what the severity is. It really flared up on him today and it was real painful for Josh."
