49ers | Coffee will get a chance to carry the load Friday

Taylor Price, of SF49ers.com, reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore will likely see a reduced rule during the team's preseason opener Friday, Aug. 14, so the coaches can evaluate all of the running backs. RB Glen Coffee will get a chance to carry the load Friday. Offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye added, "I'm interested in seeing [RB] Thomas Clayton and the young running back from Purdue, [RB] Kory Sheets. I would like to see them all, and hopefully the game will be as such that we can get a good look at all of them
