Bears | Turner says K. Jones will have pretty good role

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner said RB Kevin Jones will have a pretty good role as RB Matt Forte's backup. Turner said, "He'll just be a guy to spell [starter] Matt [Forte] in our base package. He's quicker, he's faster, playing with more confidence. He's not tentative on the knee or anything. He's had a great offseason. He's going to be productive for us. He's going to have a pretty good role." Turner has used a two-back system before, with former Bears RB Thomas Jones carried 296 times in 2006 while former RB Cedric Benson had 157 carries.
