Cubs | Castillo sentenced to jail, probation
The Associated Press reports Chicago Cubs P Julio Castillo has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail and three years of probation Thursday, Aug. 6, for injuring a fan when he threw a baseball during a fight in the minors last year. Castillo was facing up to eight years in prison. He was also ordered to receive anger-management counseling, write an apology to the fan, stay employed and work toward a high school equivalency diploma.
