MLB | Minor leaguer convicted for throwing at fan
The Associated Press reports a judge convicted Chicago Cubs P Julio Castillo Tuesday, Aug. 4, of felonious assault causing serious physical injury when he threw a baseball during an on-field fight with Single-A Peoria last season. Castillo was acquitted on a second charge of felonious assault with a deadly weapon. The ball that he threw gave a fan a concussion.
