Rockies | Hobgood the favorite to be selected in draft
Troy E. Renck, of The Denver Post, reports the Colorado Rockies are expected to select P Matt Hobgood (Norco High School) with their first-round pick in the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft. However, IF Bobby Borchering (Bishop Verot High School) is also creating some buzz with the team. Hobgood has drawn comparisons to Los Angeles Dodgers RP Jonathan Broxton.
