Packers | Favre Another Step Closer
The Press Gazette reports agent Bus Cook representing Packers QB Brett Favre said talks on a new contract for Favre went well and that he might meet again with Packers negotiator Andrew Brandt this morning before heading home to Mississippi today. The Packers don't have to finish the deal until Thursday afternoon and Cook said, "It will be done by the time it has to be done." There still have been no details released on the new contract. ORT Earl Dotson and OC Frank Winters are facing pay cuts and if the Packers can't work out new contracts with them, they will cut them for cap purposes.
