Packers | Levens 50-50

As a follow up to an ongoing story, the Press Gazette reports agent Hadley Engelhard who represents Packers RB Dorsey Levens suggested there's at least a 50 percent chance he and the team will agree on an incentive-laden deal that will keep the Packers from cutting Levens. The Packers have until 3 p.m. Thursday to cut close to $10 million from their payroll to get under the 2001 salary cap. As reported last night, a decision is expected today. OC Frank Winters' status is less clear and of the three players asked to take substantial pay cuts, he has taken the strongest public stance against accepting the reduction.
