Packers | More On Davis | Other Notes

Updating an earlier story the Journal Sentinel reports long snapper Rob Davis signed a five-year deal worth slightly more than $2.4 million, including a signing bonus thought to be between $50,000 and $100,000 with the Green Bay Packers. He'll earn the veteran's minimum salary in each of the five years of the contract. Davis was scheduled to visit the Lions yesterday and the Packers jumped in quickly to prevent his trip. Packers restricted free agent WR Corey Bradford has not made any visits yet but a NFL source said he thought the market would heat up for him next week. Coach Mike Sherman spoke with Packers free agent OL Ross Verba to get a sense of where he is at with the market. Verba indicated that he was still seeking a mega-deal, according to Sherman.
