Packers | Battling For No. 3 Spot at TE
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports two first-year players are battling to make the Green Bay Packers roster as the third-string tight end. Adam Newman and Stevan Fontana both moved down the depth chart when the Packers signed free agent veteran Troy Drayton, but they still think they could make waves during training camp. Tight ends coach Jeff Jagodzinski said even with Drayton's acquisition, there are still roster spots to be won. Neither Newman nor Fontana has been getting as many reps as the veterans in camp, but Jagodzinski said they both have been working hard.
