PackersNews.com reports the team got a good look at recently signed S Matt Bowen in practice on Wednesday. He still isn’t fully recovered from a broken foot he sustained in Week 1 while playing for the St. Louis Rams. He took a lot of snaps with the first team because starting S Bhawoh Jue (groin) missed practice. The team remains disappointed with S Chris Akins. He had two more costly penalties Monday night. "He’s a very aggressive player that has to play more disciplined," Coach Mike Sherman said. “That’s something that’s being addressed, I promise you.” Bowen's health could eventually impact Akins' job status with the team.
