Bills | Rhodes sees himself as starter

Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills RB Dominic Rhodes expects himself to be the team's starting running back in the 2009 season opener in place of suspended RB Marshawn Lynch. "Always," Rhodes said of his expectations of being a starter. "I don't even look at myself, ever, in any situation, as a backup. My mind-set is always that the opportunity (to start) is always there. I compete to start. I don't go anywhere trying to sit on the bench. That's not my thing. I want to be on the field, playing and competing. That's why I play this game." Rhodes figures to split playing time with RB Fred Jackson during Lynch's suspension.
