Browns | Lerner mulling Savage's future
ESPN.com reports Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner is mulling general manager Phil Savage's future with the team. Savage may keep his job if the Browns are unable to persuade former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher or New England Patriots vice president Scott Pioli to join the team, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Savage was informed earlier in the week he may not be part of the process in looking for a new head coach. The Plain Dealer reported Savage may be asked to resign from his current position as early as Monday, Dec. 29.
