Jaguars | Taylor offered to take less money

Michael C. Wright, of the Florida Times-Union, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars first approached free-agent RB Fred Taylor (Jaguars) about the possibility of retiring. Taylor declined. Taylor and agent Drew Rosenhaus countered with an offer to restructure his deal. To remain with the team, Taylor would take less money, although he didn't indicate precisely how much less. The Jaguars didn't budge, indicating their plans to move forward with making RB Maurice Jones-Drew the featured back.
