NFL | Favre anticipates impulse to play

Peter King, of SI.com, reports retired QB Brett Favre said he expects to get an impulse to play again during the offseason but will not return because he does not want to put the New York Jets in a difficult situation. "I foresee getting the impulse to play. But as good as [Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum] has been to me, I could never bring myself to do it. I know I won't do it. If I did, I'd be putting the Jets in a tough spot, because I know they can't release me," Favre said.
