Marlins | Skipworth invited to spring camp

The Palm Beach Post reports Florida Marlins C Kyle Skipworth, the Marlins' top draft pick in 2008, was among 24 players invited to major league camp for spring training. Skipworth hit .208 with five home runs and 21 RBI in 159 at-bats in the Gulf Coast League in 2008. He also struck out 46 times and drew just 13 walks. He is expected to open this season in low Class A.
