Red Sox | Schilling could have pitched in playoffs
The Associated Press reports the surgeon for SP Boston Red Sox SP Curt Schilling (shoulder) said Schilling could have been ready to pitch in the 2008 postseason if he would have undergone shoulder surgery in January. Dr. Craig Morgan suggested the surgery in January, but Schilling opted to undergo rehab, and instead underwent surgery June 23. Morgan said Schilling's shoulder is in great shape and he should be able to pitch at the start of next season.
