Panthers | Hochuli’s questionable call erases TD for team
The Associated Press reports referee Ed Hochuli made a questionable call Week 4 that erased a Carolina Panthers' interception return for a touchdown. Hochuli flagged DE Julius Peppers for a roughing-the-passer penalty that wiped out CB Richard Marshall's interception return for a touchdown. Hochuli claimed Peppers made a helmet-to-helmet hit on Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan, but replays appeared to show Peppers hitting Ryan with his shoulder first.
