Panthers | More On the Cap

The Charlotte Observer's Charles Chandler reports the Carolina Panthers are now looking to restructure the contract of DT Sean Gilbert. Team officials already have told his agent, Gus Sunseri, that they plan to re-work the deal which could save the team another $3 million on the cap. The contracts of numerous other players, including CB Doug Evans, are expected to be renegotiated. DE Reggie White will either retire or return to the team with a new salary that lowers his cap hit.
