Panthers | Injury Update

The Charlotte Observer's Charles Chandler reports Carolina Panthers starting C Jeff Mitchell didn't practice Wednesday. Coach George Seifert said team doctors wanted to make sure Mitchell's skin didn't get infected from turf burns sustained in the Minnesota game. He is expected back at practice on Thursday. Seifert added there is a chance RB Richard Huntley will get his first playing time with the Panthers on Sunday, though he's still leaning toward splitting carries between RBs Tshimanga Biakabutuka and Nick Goings. As previously reported S Mike Minter (knee sprain) and WR Patrick Jeffers (recovering from off-season knee surgeries) definitely won't play Sunday.
