Chip Ganassi Racing | Wingo fined for rule infraction

NASCAR.com reports Donnie Wingo, the crew chief of Chip Ganassi Racing driver Reed Sorenson's No. 41 car, was fined for a violation committed during the Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway Sunday, Aug. 17. The No. 41 car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-W (improperly attached weight) of the 2008 NASCAR rule book. Wingo was fined $25,000 for the infraction.
