Bills | Riemersma Restructures Deal

SportsLine.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Buffalo Bills have restructured the contract of TE Jay Riemersma to free up some salary cap space. Riemersma was set to earn $1.6 million this year but reduced his salary down to $484,000 in base salary and will receive the remaining $1.116 million in a signing bonus. The move opens up about $744,000 under the salary cap this year. Buffalo is between $12-$15 million over the salary cap this year. DL Ted Washington and DE Phil Hansen will also be asked to reduce their salary cap hit. $16 million is also currently tied up in QBs Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie.
