Bills | Team Notes

The Democrat and Chronicle reports the Buffalo Bills are pondering their options at PK and punter. They are not in any rush to sign someone at either spot. GM Tom Donahoe has not ruled out re-signing PK Steve Christie. Other PKs being considered are free agent Al Del Greco, cut recently by the Titans; Richie Cunningham, who has kicked for Dallas and Carolina; and Jon Hilbert, who was in the Bills training camp last season. As an update to an earlier story, Donahoe also said QB Pete Gonzalez will be brought in for a workout in the near future. Gonzalez has a minor shoulder problem that needs to heal. Donahoe said he'd like to re-sign free-agent tackle Marcus Spriggs if his price comes down, but that the team has no interest in free-agent guard Jamie Nails. As previously reported, the team would like to sign a fullback to plug into their West Coast offense, but Donahoe said it would probably not be former Bills FB Sam Gash.
