Packers | Murphy says Favre will always be a Packer
Green Bay Packers team president and CEO Mark Murphy said Thursday, Aug. 7, the team tried to be fair to QB Brett Favre during the process. He said the team always acted in the best interest of the Packers' organization. Murphy noted it was a bittersweet time for them, as they were happy the stalemate with Favre has come to an end and they were able to work out something that worked for both parties. "He will always be a Packer and he is very important to this organization," Murphy said of Favre. He noted he, general manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy were in agreement with every decision the team made.
