Jaguars | Harvey wants market deal
Vito Stellino, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars DL Derrick Harvey still hasn't signed with the team. Harvey's agent, Ken Kremer, said Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio called Harvey's request of a 75 percent increase of the No. 8 pick's salary was ridiculous. Kremer said that somewhere in between 10 percent and 75 percent is a reasonable offer to make to his client, Harvey. Some players received a 20 percent increase in salary from the 2007 NFL Draft and the 2008 NFL Draft, which would mean Harvey would receive $18.5 million for being the eighth overall pick. Kremer said the $18.5 million is much more higher than what the team has offered. Harvey said he just wants a market deal.
