Dale Earnhardt Inc. | Richert was under confidentiality agreement

Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Dale Earnhardt Inc. crew chief Doug Richert was required to endorse the Dale Earnhardt Foundation and to keep information learned about the Earnhardt family confidential as part of his contract with the team. DEI claims they had proper cause to fire Richert earlier this year and do not owe him any money because of the contract language. Richert was fired after the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond due to poor performance of the car, his failure to work with the other crew chiefs and for not following procedure while ordering parts.
