Padres | Portillo signs

Padres.MLB.com's Corey Brock reports the San Diego Padres signed 16-year-old, right-handed P Adis Portillo (Venezuela), who according to ESPN.com, is the third-best Latino prospect, to an undisclosed deal. "One of the most complete pitchers in Latin America, with a fastball that has reached 93, Adis has great mechanics with a strong mound presence and command of three pitches," Padres director of international scouting Randy Smith said.
