Buccaneers | Plummer and team to meet in front of arbitrator Wednesday
Stephen F. Holder, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and QB Jake Plummer (Buccaneers) will meet for an arbitration hearing Wednesday, June 11. The team is seeking to recover the prorated portion of a signing bonus paid to him when he renegotiated his contract in 2005. The up-front money was paid with the understanding Plummer would fulfill a contract that binds him through 2009. However, Plummer decided to retire after getting traded in March 2007. The team could gain salary cap space if they are successful.
