Bears | Angelo taking Benson's arrest seriously

Bob LeGere, of the Daily Herald, reports Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said the team will take RB Cedric Benson's recent arrest for DUI seriously. Angelo added, "Disappointment is too much an often-used word when we're talking about Cedric." According to police in Austin, Texas, Benson was pulled over Saturday, June 7, for running a red light, and he refused to take a Breathalyzer or provide blood samples. He was arrested after he failed a field sobriety test. Angelo said he was disappointed Benson put himself in a similar situation so soon after getting arrested 35 days ago and being charged with boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest. Angelo added, "It doesn't weigh well. It's unfortunate and we will deal with it once we know everything. I am very surprised that he put himself in this situation after our last visit."
