Jaguars | Porter relishes opportunity with team
Pete Prisco, of CBSSports.com, reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter welcomes the opportunity of being the team's No. 1 receiver this season. "I was kind of handcuffed in Oakland," Porter said. "To be here, where I am wanted, is a good feeling. It's nice knowing that in November and December, there won't be games where I am an afterthought. It's going to be on my shoulders, and I welcome it. This is what I've been looking for quite a while." Porter added he feels he still has the speed to expose opposing cornerbacks. "Everyone slows down," Porter said. "But I can still run by whoever I need to. I think I've lost a toenail, not a full step."
