Rams | YAC important in the selection of Avery

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan is a stickler for yards after the catch. He believes second-round selection WR Donnie Avery can help in that category. The Rams were tied for 30th in NFL in that category last season, averaging only 4.1 yards after each reception. That's the lowest figure for the team since they moved to St. Louis. Linehan said the Rams regarded Avery as the best yards-after-the-catch receiver in the draft.
