Steelers | Davenport in court Monday
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najeh Davenport was in court Monday, April 7, after being accused of domestic violence Oct. 4. Anita Person, the mother of his 5-year-old child, said in Cleveland that he slapped her, choked her and punched her stomach. Davenport is charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangering. If he is convicted, Davenport could spend 14 months in jail and face a suspension from the NFL.
