NFL | Former player ordered to pay $3,000
The Associated Press reports former NFL DL Tyoka Jackson was ordered by a federal jury to pay a flight attendant $3,000 for pushing him on a plane. The attendant and his wife were seeking up to $1 million for the incident. Jackson was ordered to pay Northwest Airlines attendant Gary Rihn to cover medical expenses for the incident that happened in 2005. Rihn was seeking $250,000 in damages and $750,000 in punitive damages. Rihn claimed that Jackson pushed him across an aisle in the airplane and into another passenger after asking Jackson to stow his laptop bag. Jackson said Rihn was antagonizing him.
