Nationals | Patterson throws two innings Saturday
The Washington Post's Barry Svrluga reports Washington Nationals SP John Patterson had his first two-inning start of the spring Saturday, March 1, and got through the outing without incident while also throwing several curveballs. Patterson (elbow) only made seven starts in 2007, and the team is taking the approach that they can't just assume he'll be able to go out and tally 30 starts this year.
