Vikings | Team tenders contract for Farwell

Kevin Seifert, of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, reports the Minnesota Vikings tendered a contract worth $1.4 million for LB Heath Farwell. Farwell is a restricted free agent and has the right to receive offers from other teams when free agency opens Thursday, Feb. 28, but the Vikings will have the right to refuse any offer, which means they can match the terms of any offer sheet. If the team declines to match the offer they would receive a second-round draft pick as compensation for Farwell.
