Astros | Team to monitor Williams' workload

The Associated Press reports the Houston Astros will monitor the workload of SP Woody Williams more this offseason to ensure he does not overwork himself. "He's an older guy, and we have to make sure everything is fine," Astros manager Cecil Cooper said. "Last spring, I thought he might have been a little tender and didn't say a whole lot about it. I think it might have affected the year he had, but he's 100 percent healthy now." Instead of throwing in as many minor league games and simulated games as last season, Williams will pitch only in Grapefruit League games this offseason.
