Patriots | Weis Note

Jay Glazer reports for SportsLine.com New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis will reportedly be available to other teams after January 31, when his current contract expires. "Just like some of the other guys like Roman Phifer and Bryan Cox who are free agents after the year, it's the same thing with him," said FB Marc Edwards. The team will push hard to re-sign Weis. The team elected to wait to re-sign him, and as a result he will be free to interview as early as next week. As previously reported, Carolina's new coach John Fox will reportedly pursue Weis to be his offensive coordinator.
