Patriots | Hayes Brings Competition at WR

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said on Friday that WR Donald Hayes is bringing good competition to the Patriots' WRs. He said Hayes has been working hard in the new system. Hayes has missed only one day of practice - voluntary or mandatory - with the team since being acquired. That practice was last Thursday, and he was excused for personal reasons. Hayes - clearly the team's biggest WR - will compete with WR David Patten for the No. 2 WR spot and should get plenty of time in 3-receiver sets.
