Vikings | More On Tice

Don Banks reports for CNN/SI the Minnesota Vikings will indeed introduce Mike Tice as their new head coach in two minutes. Tice reportedly received a three-year contract with a team option for a fourth season. The deal will pay him annual salaries beginning at $600,000 and escalate slightly. Only Tice's first two seasons will be guaranteed. After first proposing a barebones assistant coaching staff comprised of just eight members, the Vikings conceded and will allow Tice a full 14-man staff. Former Colts offensive coordinator Tom Moore is said to be the leading candidate for the same job with the Vikings. Tice's good relationship with problem receiver Randy Moss, as well as financial issues were significant factors in his candidacy as well.
