Rams | F. Brown hoping to have suspension reduced

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports St. Louis Rams CB Fakhir Brown is currently scheduled to miss the first four games of the regular season after the NFL suspended him for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Brown has appealed the suspension and is hoping to have the suspension reduced or eliminated. Brown says a miscommunication between he and the NFL's testing services led to him missing the team, which led to his suspension. The NFL drug testing policy allows testers to come to a player's home and administer a test to players in the program without warning or notice. If a player is away, he must call and tell testers where he can be found. Brown says he informed testers he would be out of town for the Fakhir Brown Football Camp in Mansfield, La. Brown says he gave an address for where he could be found.
