Dodgers | Mueller named full-time hitting coach

Ken Gurnick, of Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers manager Grady Little announced Monday, July 2, that interim hitting coach Bill Mueller will remain the team's hitting coach for the remainder of 2007. "We like the way the hitters have responded and he likes it," Little said of Mueller. "The total approach of the offense is better. We're seeing more pitches, the on-base percentage is better." Mueller, who retired at the end of the 2006 season, is receiving $4.5 million from the club this season under the terms of his contract.
