Reds | Long-term plans for Bailey

John Erardi reports for the The Cincinnati Enquirer that Cincinnati Reds P Homer Bailey is expected to stay with the team long-term after he does make his first career start Friday, June 8. Manager Jerry Narron said that this will not be a situation where Bailey will make one start then be sent back down. Bailey expects to be an important part of the team if they do make a playoff run and said, "I think, in their mind, it's 'Let's get him up here now just in case (we make a run) ... let him make his adjustments now, and if we need him later on in the season, he's already got his feet wet.'"
