MLB | C. Brooks suspended

The Sports Newtwork reports Major League Baseball suspended free-agent OF Cedrick Brooks 50 games for violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Brooks tested positive for a drug of abuse. The Colorado Rockies released Brooks in March, so if Brooks signs with any major league organization, his suspension will take effect immediately.
