Jaguars | New Backup QB?

Vic Ketchman reports for Jaguars.com the Jacksonville Jaguars will look to QB David Garrard of East Carolina, their fourth-round draft pick, to quickly become their No. 2 QB behind Mark Brunell. "He's got to compete for the backup job," coach Tom Coughlin said. The Jaguars selected Garrard to replace Jonathan Quinn as Brunell's backup and Coughlin is hoping he'll progress quicker than Quinn did. Garrard will compete with QB Roderick Robinson.
