Redskins | Carter working to come back from knee injury
Gary Fitzgerald, of Redskins.com, reports Washington Redskins RB Kerry Carter (knee) has been a regular at Redskins Park as he works to recover from a severe knee ligament injury he suffered in the preseason opener in 2006. Carter believes his rehabilitation is going well and said, "I'm in that middle stage--I'm doing rehab, but I'm also training at the same time. I lift [weights] and run, but I also work with the physical therapist just so [the team] can monitor me and make sure I'm progressing at the correct rate." Carter is looking to get fully healthy and hopes to find a role on special teams.
