White Sox | Play-by-play man missing for Opening Day
The Arlington Heights Daily Herald's Scot Gregor reports Chicago White Sox play-by-play radio announcer Ed Farmer is back home in Southern California tending to his daughter Shanda, who was involved in a car accident. According to the team, she was not seriously injured. Farmer is expected to be back for the April 4 game, and former Cubs player and broadcaster Steve Stone is filling in.
