White Sox | Perez sidelined by calf problems

The Chicago Tribune reports Chicago White Sox OF Eduardo Perez (calf) hasn't played in an exhibition game since pulling his right calf March 14 while rounding first base. Perez, who is battling for the final bench spot, is scheduled to play March 22 in a minor-league game. "The calf is where you have to be careful," Perez said. "I just want to be ready for the long run for this team."
