Lions | Team gets grievance hearing against C. Rogers
Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports the Detroit Lions will have a grievance hearing against free agent WR Charles Rogers (Lions) May 11. The team is trying to recover $10 million in signing bonuses paid to Rogers. The Lions contend Rogers breached his contract when he was suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, teams are forbidden from recouping bonuses in those situations. However, the team filed the grievance under the terms of the old CBA.
