Titans | Reese forced out
Paul Kuharsky, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams said Tuesday, Jan. 23, the organization had no intention of retaining departed general manager Floyd Reese and needed to go in a new direction with a different general manager in place. Reese resigned Jan. 5 before his contract was set to expire. "It was a hard decision to make," Adams said. "Floyd's been with us all these years and done a great job and I have no complaint with him. It's just that things were not as I would like to see in the operation of the team in Nashville and so I thought we had to make a change and unfortunately it had to be Floyd that I picked to leave."
