Padres | Hitchcock asks to be reinstated

Bill Center, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports former San Diego Padres SP Sterling Hitchcock has asked to be reinstated to active status with the possibility of resuming his career. Hitchcock retired after the 2004 season due to a series of arm injuries.
